Genitive form of the Benbeinians, a tribe that appears in several inscriptions at Ephesus. In the inscription Ephesus 2035, they seem to be related to Artemis of Ephesus. Bendis is the Thracian epithet of Artemis and therefore the Benbeinians could be the Asia Minor equivalent of this epithet. |
