Scafa (1993) considers this sentence initial (appears 6 times) to have the meaning of "I am" and also by association "this is".

Egetmeyer (2010b) critisized this interpretation because it remains unclear even what part of speech a-na would represent.

Steele (2013) believes that there is a possibility that a-no-ti is a variant of a-na having a different suffix e.g. -o-ti.
