Amerias

According to Hesychios, it is Amerias who lists the word. That does not make it automatically Macedonian. It has been compared with σχερός 'cape, shore', old English score and middle low German schore. The derivation from PIE *(s)kr-įe/o- has been proposed, but Beekes (2014) is sceptical.
