Attested in Hesychius work, but is not labeled Macedonian. For the classification as Macedonian, see: Fick, Beiträge zur Kunde der indogermanischen Sprachen p29, 1905. The word is generally connected with the later Greek words βραγία 'the greenish surface of the swamp, part of a garden surrounded by a ditch' and βραγώνι 'embankment, dam'. |
